Yamile joined Ipieca in June 2023 bringing over 12 years of global experience across the oil and gas industry. In the role of the Senior Manager for Nature in Ipieca, she oversees the environment portfolio which covers biodiversity and ecosystems services, water management as well as other environmental topics such as impact assessments.
Yamile has extensive experience in environmental and HSSE specialist roles within Shell at business and corporate levels. She has supported the delivery of multi-billion projects and industry leading advances in safety and environment. Prior to that, she worked for a global NGO developing environmental partnerships which supported wetland development projects in Nigeria, the Arctic, and biofuels.
She holds a BSc in Forest Engineering from Universidad Juan Misael Saracho from Tarija-Bolivia and an MSc in In International Land and Water Management from Wageningen University in The Netherlands.
