The CCWG was established in 1988. Its efforts focus on two major intergovernmental processes: scientific assessments by the
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
(IPCC); and negotiations under the
United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
(UNFCCC).
The Climate Change Working Group aims to provide members with reliable and timely information, issues analysis, technical guidance, education and involvement in international processes dealing with global climate change.
