In June 2022, Cheniere began providing Cargo Emissions Tags (CE Tags) to all long-term customers. The CE Tags show the estimated greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with each cargo, which is calculated from Cheniere's life cycle assessment (LCA) model, which uses supplier-specific GHG information.
To further enhance the transparency of its approach, Cheniere chose to have its LCA modeling methods reviewed and published through the scientific community's peer-review process.
