Cepsa has formed a strategic partnership with Spanish airline Iberia and Iberia Express to decarbonize air transport on a large scale.
The agreement, which includes research and flight testing of sustainable aviation biofuels (SAF), also covers other energy alternatives such as renewable hydrogen and electricity, to promote the sustainable mobility of aircraft and ground fleets (supply vehicles, baggage loading and unloading, aircraft support and towing to the runway).
To further accelerate the decarbonization of aviation through the research and production of SAF, Cepsa has formed additional alliances with other airlines including Binter, Vueling, Air Nostrum, Tui, and Etihad.
