IPIECA is pleased to announce the first regional workshop on the implementation of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPs) will be held in Lima, Peru, July 10 and 11. Developed in collaboration with ICMM, the VPs Corporate Pillar and IFC, and co-hosted by Talisman Energy and Newmont Mining Corporation, the workshop will focus on how to use the VPs Implementation Guidance Tools (IGT).

This workshop is open to all extractive industry companies with the generous support of contributions made by many of the members of the VPs Corporate Pillar. Further details are available on the workshop event page.

Subsequent IGT workshops will be held in South Africa (October) and Indonesia (December).
