IPIECA representatives participated in the European Commission Roundtable on business and human rights on 1 June in Brussels, contributing IPIECA’s considerable collective experience on implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

IPIECA members also recently contributed to a special Guiding Principles workshop hosted by SHIFT and the Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts and the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) in Porto, Portugal. The IAIA conference was an opportunity to obtain relevant external expert views on IPIECA’s work on the association between social impact assessments and human rights.

Upcoming participation includes presenting at APPEA/SPE Perth, continued representation at EC Roundtables and Sector Advisory Group and UN Working Group on Business and Human rights sessions, as well as other key international forums.
