The 20th World Petroleum Congress (20th WPC) sponsored by Qatar Petroleum and to be held in Doha, Qatar, from 4 - 8 December 2011, has issued its Final Call to experts in the oil and gas industry to submit their abstract papers for the Congress. The official closing date for the call for papers is the 31 March, 2011. The main authors are invited to submit their unpublished, original abstracts of about 300 words via WPC's online Abstract System.
The international Congress Programme Committee has prepared a wide-ranging Technical Programme to recognize the scientific, technological and professional achievements of the oil and gas sector. There is a special focus on complimentary energy sources and future energy and there are places to be awarded to the best papers and posters.

The 20th WPC will be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). Opening in 2011, QNCC will boast an iconic design and cutting edge facilities in a green technology venue. It is the first facility of its kind being built to the gold certification of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED).
