IPIECA will be at The International Conference and Exhibition on Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Social Responsibility, organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), which will take place in Stavanger, Norway, from 11-13 April 2016. The event, celebrating its 25th year, will attract leaders and professionals working in the international oil and gas sector. This year’s conference theme is Sustaining our Future through Innovation and Collaboration.
IPIECA will be presenting papers covering issues from across IPIECA’s remit, see the summary below. You can also visit us during the conference at booth 711 in the exhibition hall.
Brian Sullivan, IPIECA Executive Director, will chair the opening keynote plenary session on Climate change, the road ahead for the oil and gas industry on Monday 11 April. He will also present on a climate panel on Tuesday 12 April on IPIECA members’ consensus on climate change and the pathway to a low emissions future and on a social responsibility panel on Wednesday 13 April.
Helen Murphy, IPIECA Senior Manager – Social Responsibility and Reporting, will co-chair a session on techniques to enhance social performance and a session on Free, Prior and Informed Consent.
