Oil spill report series
The IPIECA Oil spill report series provides a practical and accessible overview of the issues relevant to preparing for, and responding to, oil spills at sea. The series represents industry consensus on best practice, and combine the expertise of the IPIECA membership, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation (ITOPF).
The Oil spill report series is used as a resource for training responders and provides a global reference point for those responsible for oil spill response planning and preparedness in both government and industry. The reports cover contingency planning, the biological impacts of spills, the international compensation regime, and international oil spill response resources.
IPIECA also produced Action against oil pollution, which provides a guide to the intergovernmental and industry organizations involved in the prevention and mitigation of oil pollution in the marine environment.
