Lucie Murphy is a Sustainability and Social Performance Manager at Ipieca, where she supports the Social Responsibility Group and Human Rights Working Group. In this role, she coordinates member engagement, supports annual business planning, and contributes to activities across social performance, human rights, just transition and sustainability. She also helps bring together members and external stakeholders to share knowledge, advance good practice and respond to emerging industry challenges.
Before joining Ipieca, Lucie worked as a Net Zero Consultant at an engineering consultancy, delivering strategic projects for public-sector and international clients. Her experience included sustainable transport and electric vehicle infrastructure, battery supply chains, stakeholder engagement, environmental and social impact assessment, and net zero strategy development.
Earlier in her career, Lucie worked at Volkswagen Group UK, where she supported retailer learning and development programmes and contributed to the group's electric vehicle strategy. Through these roles, she developed experience in sustainability, stakeholder engagement, programme delivery and the energy transition.
Lucie holds a First-Class BA (Hons) in Geography and a Diploma in Professional Studies with Distinction from Loughborough University. She is also professionally affiliated with the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals.
