Ipieca Environment Director, Ian Sealy, is participating in a technical session on 'Methane abatement technology' on 5 October and will be sharing insights from Ipieca's Flaring management guidance for the oil and gas industry which was launched earlier this year. The guidance outlines new developments in flaring management and reduction, and examines industry experiences with eliminating flaring, new technologies, business models, operational improvements and regulatory policy.
Ian Sealy is the Environment Director at Ipieca, with overall responsibility for the environment, biodiversity and ecosystem services, water and oil spill preparedness and response workstreams. Ian joined Ipieca in February 2022 with over 40 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry in Africa, Europe and North America.
