COP29 will be held from 11 to 22 November in Baku, Azerbaijan.
COP29 takes place 11 to 22 November in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is the first COP event since the Global Stocktake on progress against the Paris Agreement was completed and which showed that while progress on slowing down global warming has been made, we are still off track to limit global warming increase to 1.5 degrees.
As per the Ipieca Principles, Ipieca members support the Paris Agreement’s aims and the journey to a net-zero future by pursuing efforts to limit the temperature increase to well below 2 °C above pre-industrial levels, and pursuing efforts to limit it to 1.5 °C. The urgency and size of this challenge requires unprecedented collaboration across all sectors and countries.
