Calendar14-15 November 2017, 9:00am - 6:00pm
Map-pinWashington DC, United States

The IAIA Special Biodiversity Symposium provides a forum for sharing and advancing leading practice in mitigation hierarchy implementation for biodiversity and ecosystem services to improve outcomes for society, conservation, business, and finance. The Cross Sector Biodiversity Initiative (CSBI), a partnership between Ipieca, ICMM and the Equator Principles Association, will be presenting at the symposium on Biodiversity and the Extractives Sector, sharing progress in mainstreaming the mitigation hierarchy into the way the sector approaches, manages and mitigates their impacts on biodiversity. The session will explore the way in which the CSBI supports the business case for biodiversity management in companies through the sharing of experiences, examples and case studies by representatives from the extractives sector.
