Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is a key technology in transforming the energy system and moving towards the long-term temperature goals of the Paris Agreement. However, there are several barriers preventing it from expanding more swiftly. The webinar will cover: The role of CCS as a key technology in low-emissions pathways. The 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will be held from 6 to 17 November in Bonn, Germany, under the Presidency of Fiji. Ipieca will attend and will host a side-event on a key topic related to the transformation of the energy system and the technologies needed to reach a low-emissions future.
