Ipieca member companies’ environmental responsibility

Ipieca members support the Ipieca Principles, which includes two on nature:

  • Support the aims of the UN Convention for Biological Diversity
  • Responsibly manage operational impacts on the natural environment and ecosystem services

Desktop research conducted on member companies from July-September 2024 found that:

93%
of members have water stewardship strategies in place
66%
of members have circular economy initiatives
60%
of members integrate the mitigation hierarchy into their environmental practices
