The March round-up showcases members’ support for a range of energy transition technologies including floating solar, green hydrogen, bio-methanol and geothermal power. It also highlights how member companies contribute to the communities in which the operate through STEM programmes and hospital expansion projects. We share updates from our partners including the IMO’s technical seminar on marine biofuels and OGCI’s collaboration with Carbon Mapper.

The November round-up shares several announcements and initiatives off the back of COP30. The October round-up showcases the industry’s innovation—from the industrial production of renewable gas to splitting methane into its valuable components. We also highlight partnership as a backbone of progress across CCS, flare reduction, energy transition, circular economy, and regional outreach.

September has seen a number of low-carbon fuels announcements, with various initiatives from Ipieca members Moeve, OMV, PETRONAS and Shell as well as stakeholders IRENA and ICAO, aiming to provide alternative fuels to support the decarbonisation of shipping or aviation.

The August round-up celebrates the Northern Lights project’s successful first injection and storage of CO2, and shares a new Scope 3 environmental value trading scheme which promotes sustainable aviation fuel. We also highlight collaboration to support Australia’s marine biodiversity, as well as initiatives from Ipieca association members and partners, such as a nationwide industry workforce survey and a regional office to support maritime coordination in the Pacific.
