This quarter Ipieca attended the UNFCCC Bonn Climate Change Conference, UNEP-WCMC Nature Action Dialogues, ICAO Aviation Climate Week and IMO sessions. We also raised awareness of several UN days, and published two resources aligned with UN conventions and initiatives.
Leaders from business, finance and the conservation community gathered in Cambridge, the UK, for the Nature Action Dialogues, co-hosted by UNEP-WCMC, Proteus Partners and Jesus College Cambridge. This year's theme was 'Countdown to 2030: aligning ambition, scaling integrated action’.
This quarter Ipieca attended the UNCBD Regional Africa Business & Biodiversity Forum and the IMO technical seminar on marine biofuels. We also raised awareness of the UN World Water Day, as well publishing two resources aligned with UN conventions and initiatives.
Ipieca supported and took part in the forum, which highlighted sector-specific solutions to accelerate biodiversity mainstreaming, inform COP17 outcomes and strengthen regional reporting and implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework.

We also raised awareness of the UN Ocean Conference and various UN International Days, as well publishing five resources aligned with UN conventions and initiatives.
One of Ipieca’s core roles is to support UN conventions and agreements. We provide technical input when requested, raise awareness and support, and develop good practice guidance that enables the oil, gas and alternative energy industry to advance these global frameworks.

Aligned with the Ipieca Principles on nature to support the aims of the UN CBD and responsibly manage operational impacts on the natural environment and ecosystem services, Ipieca is raising awareness of the International Day for Biological Diversity and resources aligned with the day’s aims.
As part of its support of COP events and the Paris Agreement, and in line with the Ipieca Principles, Ipieca raises awareness of COP outcomes, shares on the ground learnings and insights, and produces practical guidance and tools to support the industry contribute to achieving COP objectives.
