Practical examples, useful resources and reference points

The practical examples are voluntary actions that members can undertake to demonstrate support of the principles through company operations and the supply chain. They are not binding commitments nor minimum expectations on member companies. Members can implement any number of the examples listed in the document. The wide range of examples encourage members to go beyond business as usual, whatever stage of their sustainability journey they are on, and will not discourage prospective members from joining Ipieca.

Applicability of the suggested actions to any particular company will be dependent on a range of factors, including companies’ size, business models, policies and procedures, national/regional circumstances, level of economic development as well as applicable law and other factors specific to the particular company.

This is an evolving toolkit that will regularly be updated with voluntary actions and relevant resources, taking into account new Ipieca guidance, industry/regulatory developments and stakeholder expectations.
