  • Voluntary and regulatory adaptation disclosure requirements and developing good practices
Calendar8 July 2025

Adaptation and resilience are key features of climate planning for both governments and corporations. In the oil and gas industry, companies need to stay informed about the latest developments in voluntary and regulatory reporting related to climate change impacts and risks. This workshop discussed global, US, and European frameworks, as well as the adaptation measures being implemented across the energy sector.

The purpose of the workshop was to:

  • Build an understanding of the latest developments on the voluntary and regulatory reporting dimensions of climate change-related impacts and risks
  • Share learnings on how the energy sector is adapting
  • Identify future work for Ipieca in the area of adaptation and resilience

This report is a summary of a virtual workshop that Ipieca hosted on voluntary and regulatory adaptation disclosure requirements and developing good practices. This was the second virtual workshop in a series on climate change adaptation and resilience.
