This week we recognize the International Day for Biological Diversity, which celebrates 25 years of the Convention on Biological Diversity and its work to safeguard life on earth. The day provides the opportunity to celebrate achievements in the conservation of biodiversity nationally and globally, but also to reflect on current progress and objectives as we near the end of the 2010-2020 United Nations Decade on Biodiversity.
To learn more and be part of the action visit the Convention on Biological Diversity International Day for Biological Diversity website.
Ipieca monitors and tracks emerging biodiversity issues relating to the oil and gas industry, including the work of the Convention on Biological Diversity, which we have been doing since it entered into force 25 years ago. Ipieca's environmental work covers a broad range of topics on good practice for environmental performance in the oil and gas industry.
