Interspill, the leading European oil spill conference and exhibition, took place this week in London, UK. The conference, which ran from 13 to 15 March, was opened by the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization, Mr. Kitack Lim. As a founding member, Ipieca is a strong supporter of Interspill and maintains a leading profile and presence at the event.
Ipieca Technical Director Rob Cox co-chaired the conference and members of Ipieca presented, chaired, and participated in panel sessions and science workshops to share knowledge and good practice on oil spill preparedness and response.
As with previous Interspills, Ipieca collaborated with Oil Spill Response Limited, Sea Alarm Foundation and the Global Response Network to showcase industry collaboration on a shared platform on the exhibition floor.
