bp and Oman form strategic partnership on renewable energy and hydrogen development

bp and the Ministry of Energy and Minerals in Oman have signed agreements to support the development of onshore wind, solar and green hydrogen production in Oman by 2030. As part of the agreement, bp will assess solar and wind data to support the government of Oman in approving future renewable energy developments at suitable locations.

Cepsa forms strategic alliance with Iberia to decarbonize air transport

Cepsa, one of Spain's leading aviation fuel suppliers, has signed an agreement with the Iberia Group to become a strategic supplier of biojet fuel and help decarbonize the aviation industry. The agreement will support research and development in sustainable aviation fuels and other alternative energies, such as renewable hydrogen, to support sustainable air travel and airport ground fleets.

Chevron announces new renewable gas project

Brightmark RNG- a joint venture between Chevron and Brightmark, a global waste solutions provider - will produce renewable gas through the Vlot anaerobic digestion project. It will capture, clean and convert methane from manure that would otherwise escape to the atmosphere on the Vlot ranch and dairy farm into renewable natural gas.

ExxonMobil announces ambition for net-zero emissions by 2050

ExxonMobil has published its Advancing climate solutions - 2022 progress report, detailing its commitment to driving emission reductions in support of a net-zero future. The net-zero aspiration applies to Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions for operated assets, as well as supporting customers to lower their emissions. The company expects to develop emission reduction roadmaps addressing ~90% of operations-related greenhouse gas emissions by the end of 2022, with the remainder completed in 2023.

A partnership with the Malaysian Psychiatric Association will enable PETRONAS to provide training in mental health first aid, equipping selected employees with the necessary skills and certification to support or refer affected colleagues to professional care.

Repsol

Repsol leads largest multisector consortium in Spain to promote renewable hydrogen

Bringing together 22 companies and 11 associations, technology centres and universities from different sectors, the Spanish Hydrogen Network (SHYNE) will deploy and promote renewable hydrogen projects to help decarbonize the Spanish economy. A total investment of €3.23 billion euros will support the development of technologies and infrastructure, generating more than 13,000 jobs.

TotalEnergies joins Masdar and Siemens Energy in green hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuel initiative

TotalEnergies, Masdar and Siemens Energy have signed a collaboration agreement to act as co-developers for a demonstrator plant in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, to produce green hydrogen to convert carbon dioxide into sustainable aviation fuel.
