Cenovus has committed to donating CAD$1 million over four years to Indspire, an Indigenous national charity that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people. Chevron and KazMunayGas to collaborate on lower-carbon opportunities
Under a new memorandum of understanding, Chevron and KazMunayGas will evaluate the potential for lower-carbon business opportunities in Kazakhstan, supporting the nation's vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. The companies will explore opportunities in areas such as carbon capture, utilization and storage, hydrogen, energy efficiency, methane management, and carbon financial disclosure methodology.

The two companies announced their strategic collaboration at the Seanergy conference in Normandy, France. Equinor as a leading floating offshore wind developer and Technip Energies as a leading supplier of floating offshore wind substructures will come together to accelerate technology development for floating offshore wind, enable cost reductions and develop local value opportunities.

Petrobras signs agreement for feasibility of biomethane production
Brazilian energy companies Petrobras and Raízen have signed an agreement to jointly evaluate potential business opportunities for the production, purchase and sale of biomethane, a 100% renewable fuel produced by Raízen from sugarcane waste.
QatarEnergy
QatarEnergy joins OGCI's Zero Methane Initiative
QatarEnergy has become the first non-OGCI member signatory to the OGCI hosted Aiming for Zero Methane Emissions Initiative. The industry-led initiative now brings together 13 oil and gas companies aspiring to eliminate their methane footprint by 2030. By joining the initiative, QatarEnergy has pledged to reach near-zero methane emissions in its operations, report transparently, adopt better monitoring and measurement technologies and support the implementation of sound regulations.
Shell
Shell, Accenture and Amex GBT launch one of the world's first blockchain solutions for scaling sustainable aviation fuel
The three organizations have jointly announced the launch of Avelia, a blockchain-powered digital sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) book-and-claim solution for business travel, allowing passengers to pay for SAF, even if SAF is not available at their departure airport. SAF will instead be fed into another aircraft in an airport where available. It is the largest SAF book-and-claim pilot at launch, offering around 1 million gallons of SAF - enough to power almost 15,000 individual flights from London to New York.

TotalEnergies to collaborate on a new forest management model combining wood production and carbon sinks
