Repsol in green hydrogen push
Repsol will start up the first electrolyzer in the Spanish region of the Basque Country in the second half of 2022, to produce renewable hydrogen at its Petronor refinery. The facility will have a capacity of 2.5MW. The project also includes construction of the necessary infrastructures for the use and distribution of the renewable hydrogen produced.
Woodside Energy
Woodside joins initiative to drive hydrogen bus adoption in South Korea
Woodside and five other parties have joined forces to establish HyStation, a company aiming to construct and operate hydrogen refuelling stations for public transport bus fleets in South Korea. The joint initiative will help accelerate the transition of buses from diesel to hydrogen, which, as heavy vehicles that require short refuelling times, are well suited to hydrogen fuel cells.

OGCI releases new strategy to accelerate the energy transition
OGCI has launched a new strategy to drive deep reductions in greenhouse gas emissions to help accelerate the energy transition. All 12 members aim to reach net-zero emissions from operations under their control by 2050, and commit to leveraging their influence as industry leaders and collaborating with stakeholders to help accelerate the transition to a net-zero future. Ipieca welcomes this ambitious strategy and will continue close collaboration with OGCI to contribute to the energy transition in the context of sustainable development.
