This years World Water Week will take place from 26 - 31 August. The event brings together business, academic, policy and civic communities from a range of sectors and countries to network, share knowledge and develop solutions to the world's water issues. The theme for 2018 is Water, ecosystems and human development.
Ipieca will take part in a seminar on Investing in freshwater ecosystems and biodiversity: A key development challenge. During this seminar, Ipieca will present an abstract co-written with Conservation International and Chevron on Understanding freshwater biodiversity and aquatic systems threats for enhanced decision-making. The session will demonstrate Chevron's use of the Integrated Biodiversity Assessment Tool (IBAT), and how it has been used to evaluate site level freshwater biodiversity risks and understand species threats at a watershed scale.
The seminar will take place on Sunday 26 August from 14:00 - 15:30, in room FH 202.
