Reducing risks to western gray whales: Sakhalin Energy case study

This case study explains how Sakhalin Energy developed a comprehensive monitoring and mitigation program in order to reduce risks that offshore oil and gas development could pose to western gray whales. Implementing the program has increased global understanding of these endangered mammals and aided scientists in their efforts to identify and develop new measures to protect gray whales from impacts related to the energy industry.
