Ipieca, in collaboration with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), launched a compendium to explore co-use opportunities in solar and wind energy projects to serve as a practical resource for energy sector professionals.

This webinar provides a comprehensive overview of what the new compendium covers, as well as a stakeholder panel session featuring key stakeholders who contributed to its development, whom discuss enablers, barriers and the business case for co-use.

Speakers

  • Dr Marie Parramon-Gurney, Skultcha
  • Dan Salas, University of Illinois, Chicago
  • Sarah Moser, Co-use Specialist
  • Qiulin Liu, IUCN

About the compendium

The compendium focuses on co-use opportunities that optimise land use and infrastructure by combining renewable energy production with other activities. It aims to raise awareness and guide strategic planning for co-use opportunities that increase the productivity of solar and wind energy infrastructure while maximising social, environmental, and economic benefits.
