The session, which included two panel discussions followed by a plenary workshop, explored how governments, financial institutions and civil society organisations can work with the energy sector and Ipieca to enable the Global South to pursue low-carbon development pathways that support energy access, mobility, water security, poverty reduction, and adaptation and resilience, while safeguarding nature and upholding the rights and needs of local communities.
