This graphic recording provides an overview of the key messages from 'Zigzag to zero? Positive pathways to Paris: an industry, investor and civil society roundtable'.
Following a keynote introduction by Mark Radka of the UN Environment Programme, the interactive, virtual roundtable examined the topic of the energy transition and net-zero emissions through three lenses:
- Investors and international organizations - with speakers from Allianz Investment Management, Transition Pathway Initiative, the World Economic Forum and the World Resources Institute.
- Regional perspectives - illustrating that the energy transition will take a different shape around the world including a spotlight on the Middle East, Africa and India, with speakers from Chatham House, the African Refiners and Distributors Association, and the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry.
- Industry initiatives - with updates from the oil and gas sector (Ipieca, the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative) and a global business view from the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
The roundtable was delivered 13 July 2021, 14:00-16:30 BST.
