Putting a spotlight on nature, Ipieca member company PETRONAS is hosting the inaugural Energy & Nature Forum to address the intersection of energy and nature.

This event will convene the energy sector alongside non-governmental and international organisations and associations from across the world.

The aim is to explore practical ways to integrate nature ambitions into corporate strategies, define meaningful roadmaps and collaborate with stakeholders.

Two days of conferences and workshops will be followed by an immersive nature experience in a tropical landscape.

Insights from the forum will be captured in a report.

Ipieca is proud to support the PETRONAS Energy & Nature Forum 2025 and will take part in the following ways:

Panel sessions

Ipieca CEO Brian Sullivan will participate in the ‘Mainstreaming nature in business decision making for the energy sector’ panel.

Ipieca workshop

Ipieca will host an interactive session on the integration of nature considerations into energy projects at the Energy and Nature Forum 2025 partner event.

The session format will involve small group discussions, centred on hypothetical and real-life case studies concerning oil and gas, and other energy infrastructure. This approach aims to help participants understand the considerations and potential dilemmas on water, biodiversity and ecosystem services (BES) management and local community engagements in business operations.
