His current focus includes driving excellence in HSE regulatory compliance, working to reduce operational greenhouse gas emissions, managing biodiversity, water and labour rights, supporting employees and local communities through the energy transition, and continuing to embed sustainability into systematic ways of working and organisational culture.
He has been a part of Ipieca's Executive Committee for the last year and Andy's appointment as Vice Chair was endorsed during Ipieca's recent 2025 Extraordinary General Meeting.
Commenting on his new role in Ipieca, Andy Best said, ‘I’m honoured to take on the role of Vice Chair and look forward to helping Ipieca to work closely with industry stakeholders to continuously improve environmental and social performance.’
Andy continued, ‘Over the last 50 years, Ipieca has successfully championed good practice, by sharing cross-value-chain solutions, enhancing knowledge, partnering with stakeholders, and fostering an integrated approach to climate, the natural environment and social performance. I look forward to supporting the team to continue this important journey.’
