Ipieca and the ASEAN Council on Petroleum and Energy (ASCOPE) have signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) which will see the two associations work together to drive regional support for energy transition roadmaps, the uptake of sustainability reporting and advancing environmental and social performance across operations and supply chains.
This work will be implemented through joint capacity building and knowledge sharing workshops, events and webinars.
Commenting on the MoC, Ipieca CEO Brian Sullivan said, ‘By combining Ipieca’s global expertise with ASCOPE’s regional leadership, we can deliver real value to member countries—accelerating progress toward net-zero, strengthening community resilience, and fostering transparency.’
Secretary in Charge of ASCOPE Henricus Herwin said, ‘ASEAN's oil and gas sector is pivotal in supporting the region's sustainable energy transition. ASCOPE and Ipieca are partnering to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing in support of a just energy transition that balances energy reliability, security and sustainability.’
