Assala Energy
29 apprentices selected to join Assala’s Leaders de demain programme
Since November 2022, Assala Gabon has been piloting its Leaders de demain (Leaders of Tomorrow) programme. This year-long immersive training programme has been developed to provide professional experience to young people originating from communities local to its operations.
Accelerating the energy transition with green hydrogen
Spain’s Cepsa has signed partnership agreements with multinationals such as Yara of Norway and Gasunie of the Netherlands to promote the first green hydrogen maritime corridor linking the south and north of Europe through the ports of Algeciras and Rotterdam.
Expanding collaboration towards decarbonisation and a sustainable energy transition
Eni and Sonangol signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to further expand the scope of the cooperation between the two companies. The two companies will develop studies in the agribusiness value chain and in other sectors of decarbonisation, including energy transition minerals and innovation ecosystem.
Halliburton has secured a well completions contract on the HyNet Northwest carbon capture and storage project in Scotland, showcasing their leadership in CCS projects.
PETRONAS and Malaysia Forest Fund (MFF) signed an MoU to explore and develop high-quality nature-based solutions projects in Malaysia. The collaboration supports the REDD Plus initiative, which enables the private sector to directly contribute financial resources towards conserving, protecting and sustainably managing forest resources.
Minimising impact from upstream oil and gas production with EcoShield
SLB has released EcoShield™, an industry-first geopolymer cement-free system that minimises the CO2 footprint of a well’s construction, eliminating up to 85 percent of embodied CO2 emissions compared to conventional well cementing systems.
TotalEnergies and TES pioneer the development of e-NG
TotalEnergies is collaborating with Tree Energy Solutions to develop large-scale production for e-natural gas, contributing to the energy transition by helping customers to decarbonise their activities.
International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB)
ISSB issues inaugural global sustainability disclosure standards
The ISSB has issued its inaugural global sustainability disclosure standards: IFRS S1 and IFRS S2. The standards create a common language for disclosing the effect of climate-related risks and opportunities on a company’s prospects.
ReGenerate publishes just energy transition ecosystem map
The map, which features Ipieca, highlights organizations that have visible, public consideration of the importance of the 'just' element of the energy transition, and is designed to foster collaboration and share just energy transition-related information and guidance.
