Through energy efficiency measures, methane management and access to cleaner energy, GeoPark reduced its greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 35% between 2020 and 2025, from 14.3 kg of CO2 equivalent/barrel of oil equivalent to 9.3 kg of CO2 equivalent/barrel of oil equivalent. Additionally it has reduced methane emissions by 86% over the past five years.
Moeve has approved the final investment decision (FID) to begin construction in the coming weeks of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley project. The first phase, known as Onuba, will have 300 MW of capacity and the option to expand by an additional 100 MW.

Suncor is investing USD 5.5 million to help expand youth mental health services across Alberta through a partnership with CASA Mental Health, a non-profit that provides specialised treatment for children, youth and families.
TotalEnergies inaugurates floating solar power plant in Belgium
The company, alongside Holcim, a leading player in sustainable construction, inaugurated a floating solar power plant with a capacity of 31 MW, located in Obourg on a former chalk quarry site that has been rehabilitated into a lake.
Ipieca insights from the IMO technical seminar on marine biofuels
The seminar covered biofuels state of play, production, certification, market dynamics and onboard experience. As an observer of the IMO, Ipieca helps the IMO to assess the science surrounding proposed changes to the marine fuel developments, including marine spill and GHG reductions.
OGCI and Carbon Mapper team up to reduce methane emissions from the oil and gas sector
The collaboration combines Carbon Mapper’s publicly available satellite-based methane data, expertise, and strategic insights with OGCI’s industry-led, peer-to-peer engagement model to help operators identify, prioritise and mitigate emissions more quickly and effectively.
