Eni launches two healthcare initiatives to strengthen paediatric services across Angola
Eni Foundation and Eni Natural Energies Angola have signed two memorandum of understanding with the Angolan Ministry of Health to improve healthcare quality and accessibility for patients across the country. The initiatives include the development of a digital interface to enhance cooperation between hospitals, and training to enhance neonatal and paediatric intensive care.
Marubeni and ExxonMobil’s sign low-carbon ammonia deal
ExxonMobil and Marubeni have signed a long-term agreement for the annual supply of 250,000 tonnes of low-carbon ammonia from ExxonMobil’s Baytown, Texas facility. This deal supports USA–Japan industrial cooperation, advances Japan’s decarbonisation goals, and aims to establish a global low-carbon ammonia supply chain, particularly for use in hard-to-abate sectors like power and steel manufacturing.

South and Moeve commit to using renewable diesel to advance airport decarbonisation
South Europe Ground Services (South), in partnership with energy company Moeve, is advancing airport decarbonisation by using over 150,000 litres of HVO100 renewable diesel across 38 Spanish airports in 2025. This initiative, aligned with AENA’s climate action plan, aims to cut CO₂ emissions from ground support equipment by up to 90% while maintaining compatibility with existing engines.
Leading energy companies from Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore announce tripartite industry alliance to advance cross-border renewable energy supply
Advancing regional energy cooperation, leading energy companies from Malaysia (including PETRONAS), Singapore and Vietnam have signed a joint development agreement to explore the export of renewable electricity from Vietnam to Malaysia and Singapore.
Pertamina’s Independent Energy Village Program boosts rural food production
Pertamina’s Independent Energy Village Program, known as Desa Energi Berdikari (DEB), empowers rural communities like Mernek Village by combining clean energy infrastructure—such as solar panels—with sustainable food production through hydroponic farming, managed by a local women’s group. This initiative contributes to economic development and aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly zero hunger, affordable and clean energy, and climate action.
TotalEnergies breaks ground on low-carbon LNG plant in Oman
TotalEnergies and its partner OQ Exploration and Production have begun construction on the USD 1.6 billion Marsa LNG facility in Sohar, Oman. Designed to be one of the world’s lowest-carbon-intensity LNG plants, the all-electric-powered project integrates solar energy and aims to become the Middle East’s first marine LNG bunkering hub by 2028, supporting cleaner shipping.
