Eni and MSC Cruises have announced the completion of testing on Enilive’s hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO) diesel, which confirmed the technical feasibility of using the biofuel in its pure form in the maritime sector to power cruise ship engines.

Exxonmobil

ExxonMobil delivers strongest Houston Giving Campaign to date

This year’s ExxonMobil Houston Giving Campaign raised a record USD 16 million, its largest fundraising total in more than 60 years. This includes contributions from ExxonMobil employees, retirees, the ExxonMobil Foundation, and proceeds from multiple fundraising events. This will contribute to the United Way of Greater Houston, a community non-profit, STEM scholarships and over 768 other local non-profits.

Moeve and Accenture join forces to accelerate the decarbonisation of industrial customers’ operations

Moeve is teaming up with Accenture to strengthen its emissions reduction solutions for industrial customers through Moeve decarbonize. Through this initiative, the company will combine Accenture’s digital tools with its portfolio of energy solutions to support clients in sectors such as heavy industry to define and execute their decarbonisation plans.

Petrobras launches 2026 internship programme for 150 students in 12 states

For the first time in the company's history, 30% of the opportunities will be reserved exclusively for women. The internships will select undergraduate students from a wide range of disciplines for placement across Petrobras operations and units.

Company signs MoU with government to explore nature-based solutions projects

PETRONAS and the Terengganu State Government have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore opportunities for the development of nature-based solutions in the state. They will collaborate to identify and assess potential sites across Terengganu for nature-based carbon projects that meet internationally recognised certification standards.

Repsol achieves commercial operations at its 825 MW solar facility in Texas

Developed by Repsol, the project was completed at an accelerated pace and generated a strong positive impact on the local economy, supporting approximately 700 local construction jobs. Repsol’s total renewable capacity in the USA now exceeds 2 GW.

Sonangol

Sonangol supports flood relief efforts

The company delivered approximately 400 tonnes of essential goods including food, medicine, hygiene products, cleaning supplies and clothing to the populations affected by the rains in the province of Benguela. The initiative is part of the company's social commitment to support communities in emergency situations.

The ISWG-GHG is a technical working group which feeds into the IMO’s Marine Environment Protection Committee work on reducing GHG emissions from shipping. Ipieca submitted technical papers and co-hosted a side event 'Enabling investment in low-carbon marine fuels: why clear LCA and certification guidelines'.

OGCI publishes new reports on long-term CO₂ management considerations

OGCI has published two new reports: one examining what happens after CO₂ injection stops at geological storage sites, and enablers to support effective site closure, and a second exploring consideration for the management and transfer of storage licences and liabilities.
