2022 is an important year for biodiversity, with the launch of the post-2020 global biodiversity framework at CBD COP15 in December, which is seen as a stepping-stone towards the 2050 UN CBD Vision of 'Living in harmony with nature'.
Ipieca, on behalf of its members, supports the need for efforts from the energy industry to mitigate impacts on biodiversity in support of global biodiversity conservation. This document outlines the key messages on BES good practices for the industry, and explores how industry and governments can support and work with each other to mainstream biodiversity across the energy transition.
