The submission summarizes aspects of their existing or future activities of significant importance for the decision-making process targeting the finalization and the approval of the mid-term GHG candidate measure(s) at MEPC 83.

- Future measures should take into account cross-sectoral competition
- The deployment of alternative fuels at scale requires time and funds

During the Intersessional Working Group on Reduction of GHG emissions from Ships (ISWG-GHG) 18 in February 2024, Ipieca and IBIA will participate in a side-event at the IMO in London. The side-event will take place Thursday, 20 Feb, 12:45-13:15.
