Ipieca welcomes Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to its global membership. PDO is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman, delivering the country's majority of crude oil production and natural gas supply chain.
PDO operates in a concession area of about one third of Oman's geographical area, has approximately 130 producing oil fields, 14 producing gas fields, 8,000 active wells, and a workforce of more than 8,500 employees.
The primary objective of PDO is to engage efficiently, responsibly and safely in the exploration, production, development, storage and transportation of hydrocarbons in the Sultanate.
