New IOGP-IPIECA COVID-19 resources available

Over the course of the pandemic, the joint IOGP-IPIECA Health Committee has been playing a critical role in convening its members and key stakeholders around COVID-19, to exchange information, and facilitate peer-learning and collaboration to slow the spread of the virus.

Based on the collective insights of IOGP and IPIECA’s Health Committee members, a series of COVID-19 position papers have been developed to help the industry respond to specific issues raised by COVID-19. The purpose of this series of position papers is to share the knowledge of the oil and gas industry’s health experts with industry decision makers, addressing the risks and challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. The papers remain under regular review as the situation evolves.

*UPDATED* position paper on testing

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the joint IOGP-IPIECA Health Committee has striven to ensure that the industry was operating with the most up-to-date and scientifically sound information possible when making decisions that affect workers' health during the pandemic. The Health Committee’s advice on COVID-19 testing has evolved alongside the continuously evolving understanding of COVID-19 and COVID-19 testing.
