Spillcon, the international oil spill conference for the Asia-Pacific region, will take place from 20-24 May in Perth, Australia. Spillcon operates in cooperation with the International Oil Spill Conference (IOSC) in the United States, and Interspill in Europe, each in a three-year cycle.
The event will bring together local, regional and global environmental and shipping representatives across industry, government and non-governmental organizations to provide an avenue to discuss oil spill issues, including cause and prevention, preparedness, response management and environmental issues. A number of high calibre national and international speakers will address the conference on their areas of expertise.
Ipieca has attended and supported all three regional conferences including Spillcon since its inception in the early 1990's.

Future marine fuels and technology - new website launched
The website has been developed by the Future Fuels and Technology Project (FFT Project), a partnership project between IMO and the Republic of Korea, supporting the development of new regulation within the possible IMO Net-Zero Framework to achieve the targets contained in the 2023 IMO GHG strategy.
